All of our jewelry is handmade to order in New York City.
Design and 3D Modeling :
Our Designer (Creative Director) starts the process by selecting the diamonds and gemstones to use to inspire design. The designers then build a 3D model using a CAD program called Matrix. Once the design has been finalized, a model is 3D printed using a special resin. This allows us to see the design before it goes into production and make any changes needed.
Once the final design and resin have been approved, we move into production. In order to create jewelry, we need molds. The molds we use are made of silicone because they allow for finer details than other materials.
Jewelry casting is the process by which a wax model is made into a jewelry mold and then filled with molten gold to create a piece of jewelry. Before the casting process can begin we check to see what items have been ordered, and we will shoot wax into the molds. Those wax models are then taken and placed on a wax tree.
The wax tree is placed into a cylinder with investment and baked in an oven until the plaster hardens. During this process the wax inside of the cylinder will melt away leaving a perfect cavity in the shape of the jewelry. Molton gold is poured into the cavity left behind from the wax. The cylinder is then placed into cold water where it dissolves leaving the gold.
All of our stones are individually hand set by our in house diamond setting experts.
Once the diamonds have been set, the item returns to polishing for final touch ups. All of our pieces are hand polished.
The next step is the washout room where everything is cleaned and prepared for the final quality control checks. The pieces finish their journey here after passing through each department, carefully followed via our digital tracking system. Once the items have passed our strict quality control they are moved to our shipping department.
The product is carefully packed and shipped to you.
