If you find yourself in NYC, Ci Siamo is a can’t miss dining experience. It may be the hottest reservation to get in NYC right now and it is well worth it. If you can’t score a reservation, check out the bar and lounge area that is for walk ins only.
Start off the meal with their fluffy cast iron focaccia served with tomato conserva and one of the signature cocktails. We enjoyed their take on the Martini that was made with an assortment of gins. The pastas created by Chef Hilary Sterling (formerly of A Voce and Vic’s) are dreamy and we don’t use that word lightly. Each pasta dish is better than the next. Our favorites were the tagliatelle with tomato and buffalo butter and the rigatoni with guanciale and pepper but you can’t go wrong with any of the choices.
Don’t forget to save room for dessert! The desserts alone are worth returning for another visit. The lemon torta doesn’t sound unusual in description alone but tasting the combination of the creamy but tart lemon filling with the sweet meringue and peppery olive oil was a flavor explosion. The gelato brought back memories of past visits to Italy.
